How to Disable Ads in Kindle Outside of US (No Hacks)

Thought I would share my experience to all.

Recently, I bought a new Kindle Paperwhite Ads version, YAY!

If I didn't understand wrongly, the ads only works in the US and since I'm staying in Singapore, there is really no point for the ads right. Even if it's non-intrusive while reading but still >.< I just hate the sight of it appearing on the screensaver.

Below are the steps to get your ads version of the Kindle to be ADS FREE!

Less than 5 mins of your time, easy peasy!

1. Login to your Amazon account and make sure your Kindle is registered to your account.

2. Go to the Contact Us page in Amazon.

3. For section 3, click the CHAT option and a popup live chat will appear.

4.  See my chat history for details!

Super duper elated that my Kindle is now officially ADS FREE! And best of all, no hacks are needed!

Feel free to comment and share if you have any other methods to do so! :)

Sweet Monster Popcorn

Chanced upon this promo poster and the 1st thing that flashed across my mind was, I gotta try it!!! HOW COULD YOU RESIST IT RIGHT?

This sweet monster popcorn is from Korea, the shop itself (Bugis outlet) was blasting Korean songs and the staff thanked the customers in Korean too.

While my friend and I were proceeding to take a seat, the manager (I suppose), he was really friendly and gestured us to the counter and explain to us how to place the order patiently.

There are 5 different flavours of the popcorns, technically 4 I would say because 1 of them is sort of a repeat. The flavours are caramel, choco, caramel/cheese mix, strawberry and milk.

After some pondering, we finally decided on the two flavours - Caramel/Cheese mix and Choco.

Verdict: I really love the cheese flavour! Tasted like nachos :D The choco and caramel tasted alright in comparison. I do wished that they have the flavour of cheese ALONE, instead of just mixing it with caramel and TA-DUH, another flavour. :[

The soft serve is average, nothing too fancy. The price is $6.80/cup, but since it's currently 1 for 1, we got it at $6.80 for 2! Super worth it I would say. ^_^

It's my first time eating popcorn and ice-cream combo, would say that it's an interesting concept. But I must say that, it it definitely not the best, in terms of ice-cream or popcorn alone. :] Nevertheless, you should go ahead and try it once! I didn't regret though as the portion was rather generous and I might eat it again if there is still the 1 for 1 promo :P

New Year, New Bounce!

First of all,

I would like to wish everyone..

A new year, a new beginning, let's make 2016 even more awesome than the last! :)

Since it's the new year, I promised myself that I would try out the new workout class that True Fitness has to offer. I got really excited when I saw mountains of trampolines stacked up against one another late last year. However, the trampoline class would only commence come 2016.

To be honest, I'm not a fit person, I thought of backing out when I saw the YouTube (seen below).

Looks fun but hell exhausting!

The program is called "U-Bound" and I timidly booked my virgin tryout to the class on a Sunday.

My face after the class
I probably looked like that, was really tiring but enjoyable at the same time.
It is really a very cardio kind of class, and jumping 1 hour non-stop on the trampoline is no easy feat.
Good thing is, I didn't feel the soreness/strain in my knees as I usually would have when I did step classes. Seems like this is really no impact to the knees :)

Interesting thing is, the guest trainer is from Taiwan and he spoke a mixture of English and Mandarin. I got just a little confused with the directions 左右. Other than that, all is good and he's really entertaining! For the first two tracks, I was literally panting like a mad dog, wondering when the 'torture' will end. However, after a while, I didn't even realise that I was actually having fun until he announced that was the last track. Hehe, enjoyed myself too much and kinda don't want it to end. I guess I did good for a first timer and survived! ^_^

Would definitely go again, but sad thing is, I would have to forsake my only yoga day for this as it clashes :( OH WHY WHY WHY...

I'm pretty shy, but I'm glad that I've met really awesome peeps at the gym, motivating me to go for classes when I just wanna laze around at home :x

Ending this post with a U-bound group shot with the Guest Trainer! :)

Work. Eat. Gym. Sleep. Repeat

Haven't been active for more than a year here, feeling guilty :P

I guess it's true that once you start working, time passes by 'fast' in a sense?
Looking back, it has been about a year and half into my job.

Weekends never felt so precious before, yet at every Sunday night, you pondered where did they go to? :(

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also, it has been about a year since I had been with True Fitness. Gotta say, I love those Les Mills classes! The motivation of working out in a group is really awesome, compared to running alone on a treadmill, I'd probably just give up after 15 minutes haha!

Bodypump, bodycombat, Shbam, Yin and Hot Yoga are those classes I try to attend on a regular basis. Of course, combat and pump are my favourites, need to tone those flabby armssssss! :(

Attending classes are fun, but booking of classes are a bitch, luckily True Fitness has the mobile app (iOS and Android) and the online booking portal shown below.
True Fitness Mobile App (iOS)
True Fitness Online Class Booking Website
I usually gym at the Harbourfront Centre branch as it's nearer to my office and I can reach there in half an hour usually. But the ultimate pain point is, evening classes are so POPULAR that you literally have to camp till the stroke of midnight to book and they are FULL in a few minutes! How absurd right! :(

Of course, you can pay more to qualify for the VIP membership, which means you don't ever had to book for classes like most of us commoners do, haha. They tried to sell me the Lifetime membership as well. I must say it is kinda expensive, 8K plus for 36 months and can only minus off the remaining balance of your membership. They should have allowed it to minus off the 3 years membership I paid, rather than the two years left. Had I known, might as well take lifetime at first right. :/

Today... I attended the True Charithon 2014! Every class is $10.70 and all proceeds go to the Breast Cancer Foundation plus you get a free goodie bag! :P

Feeling awesome to workout for a good cause yeah! Shall end off with a group peekture taken with some of my favourite instructors below! :)

Goodnight everybody! X

Peperoni Pizza

Been a while since I last stepped foot into Suntec City, as the mall was undergoing renovation. Was wandering around for a dinner place after work and found this pizza place! It's at the fountain area, when the restaurants are all around the circle.

Address: 3 Temasek Boulevard #B1-130

The pizza place is called, Peperoni Pizza. Had no idea why though haha. But nice ambience and I liked the interior of the restaurant ;)

That's the menu if you're wondering :P
"All we knead is LOVE"
Are you?

Our yummylicious pizza! :) We ordered the medium size to share for 2 pax, about $24. And yes, you can customise it, ours was half-seafood, the other I can't remember :x

And the best thing of all,

when we called for the bill...

We realised there's no GST or service charge! YAY! :)

Gone Too Soon, Too Young

Glee, a TV series that I have been faithfully watching since season 1. Love their covers for some songs, in I think was better than the original!

Imagine my shock when I chanced upon news that the actor, Cory Monteith, who played the well-known Finn Hudson in the Glee TV series, that he was dead.

Certainly, I thought or wished that it was an evil prank. Afterall, he is a rising star, only 31 years old and a future ahead of him. A future with his girlfriend, Lea Michele, who happens to be Rachel Berry in Glee as well.

The sad news announcement and all news of his death plastered across all the online/offline media.

RIP Cory, you'll be missed! Glee will never be the same again without you.

So sad, rumours are that they should be getting married soon and yet she's preparing for his funeral :,(

Guess life is really unpredictable, one can never predict what is gonna happen next.
Cherish the present!

Entering the Working World

Started work last month, on the 13th May. Been nearly a month already. I missed lazing around at home and waking up in the noon. :x Oh well, but at least now I do have income ;)

Honestly speaking, I do miss school - especially my friends! :,( It's so different now, I have tonnes of photos that are still sitting in my camera/laptop wailing to be uploaded. Hahaha. Soon soon! How time passes by when you started working. I end work about 5.30 or 6pm, depending on what time I reach. So, by the time I reached home, have dinner, a shower etc, it will be at least 8 plus? And checking some mails plus some surfing the net and then it's time for bed. Can't afford to sleep too late now. Total change of my sleeping habits, from going to bed in the wee hours, now I aim to sleep by 12 midnight or latest before 1am. Then, the whole cycle of waking up early for work starts again.

Do enjoy school while you still can! :) Tata~ I will update real soon. *cross fingers*
